Anglesey Winter Show 2026
Two days of livestock, horses, produce, machinery, crafts, local food, family competitions and rural life at the Anglesey Showground in Gwalchmai.
Agriculture, Equine & Rural Wales
Anglesey’s two-day winter celebration
The Anglesey Winter Show 2026 takes place on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November at the Anglesey Showground in Gwalchmai.
The annual show brings together farmers, equine exhibitors, local businesses, food producers, craft traders and families for a weekend celebrating rural life on the island.
Unlike many agricultural shows, much of the Winter Show takes place under cover in the showground’s purpose-built exhibition halls and cattle buildings, making it especially well suited to a November weekend.
What To Expect
Livestock, equine classes, produce and rural businesses
The Winter Show combines competitive agricultural classes with exhibitions, shopping, food and family activities, giving visitors a broad look at rural life on Anglesey.
Livestock & Agriculture
Cattle and sheep classes sit alongside agricultural exhibits, machinery and the wider farming community.
Equine & Dog Classes
Sunday brings horse classes and a dog show, adding a strong equine and animal focus to the second day.
Produce, Crafts & Shopping
Produce exhibitors, craft stalls, local businesses and seasonal shopping make the show attractive beyond the agricultural audience.
Weekend Programme
Different competitions across Saturday and Sunday
Saturday 7 November
Saturday’s programme includes cattle, sheep, carcass classes, eggs, cookery, crafts and children’s competitions.
Sunday 8 November
Sunday switches the focus towards horses, dogs, fancy dress, a pet corner and further children’s competitions.
Under Cover
A November show designed for Welsh weather
One of the strongest features of the Anglesey Winter Show is that the event is largely held indoors or under cover. The exhibition halls and cattle buildings allow visitors to enjoy the show without relying on dry autumn weather.
That makes it a useful late-season event for families, farming visitors and anyone looking for a rural day out in North Wales during November.
Anglesey Agricultural Society
A long-established part of island life
The Winter Show is organised by the Anglesey Agricultural Society, which owns the 160-acre Anglesey Showground. The Society’s history stretches back to the early nineteenth century, while its annual agricultural show tradition dates to 1872.
The November Winter Show is a more recent addition to that tradition, extending the Society’s programme beyond the main summer Anglesey Show and giving local farming, food, craft and rural businesses another major event later in the year.
